The Christ Child Society of South Bend has been providing new clothing to children in St. Joseph County since 1947. The Clothing Center on Scott Street continues to serve close to 4,500 children each year right here in our community. The Society also provides more than 500 layettes, which are distributed by our local hospitals.
Our mission of clothing children in need is made possible solely through the generosity of our membership and our community. The Christ Child Society receives no local, state or federal funding. There is no paid staff. All money raised in the Clothe-A-Child Campaign is used to purchase all the essential clothing a child needs including coats, hats, gloves, shirts, pants, underwear, shoes, socks and layette items for babies.
With the holidays approaching, please consider clothing one or more of our children as part of your holiday tradition. Our grateful families look to us each year for help. Christ Child Society is proud to serve this need in our area and your generous gift helps give all year long. All contributions are tax deductible and will help make a child’s life a little warmer and brighter.
